Position Summary:
Provide administrative support to account processing. Assist in analyzing new merchant
account credit and risk assessment. Prepare various documents, spreadsheets. Establish
& maintain files, make copies, operate postage meter, etc. Research factual and
background data to assist and facilitate performance of account set-up. Communicate with
bank affiliates in order to expedite the application and set-up process. Review
applications for correctness, completeness, and security risks. Screen phone
calls/visitors. Sort and distribute correspondence and mail. Respond to routine mail
correspondence. Perform certain customer service functions and research.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-year general office experience. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access,
Works and use of the Internet. Superior knowledge of English grammar and working
arithmetic skills. Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
Proficient with PC Software. Ability to deal professional with external counsel,
merchants, agents and other professionals. Strong verbal and written communications
skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated customer service
orientation. Excellent appreciation and attention to detail.
Position: Collection Agent
Position Summary:
Establish and maintain files, make
copies, research account data on past due accounts. Research and locate skipped or
relocated accounts. Make contact with past due accounts and bad check writers for the
purpose of aquiring payments. Pursue debtors with letters, phone calls, collections and
court actions. File Small Claims Lawsuits, NSF Warrants and other civil and criminal
actions. Work with attorneys and collection services. Prepare accounts with available
information for lawsuits and criminal actions. Work with other departments to determine
risk associated with account and do risk assessment on new and existing accounts. Collect
contingency accounts in compliance with the provisions of the FDCPA, the FCRA and the
internal performance standards to achieve monthly goal. Provide daily coverage of all
accounts until payment arrangements have been made in accordance with established policy
and procedure. Obtain and utilize credit reports and other skip-tracing information to
collect accounts.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-year general office
experience. Working knowledge of Word, Works and the internet. Knowledge of English
Grammar and working arithmetic skills. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and
communications skills.
Demonstrated verbal communication
skills. Professional telephone manner. Typing minimum of 35 wpm. Familiarity with use of
PCs.
| Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with FDCPA and FCRA
guidelines. Minimum one year collections experience in a similar environment. Experience
in telephone collections. |
